AS A SOPHOMORE: Local product saw his first action in an Irish uniform during the fall, running three meets for the cross country team … placed fifth on the team and eighth overall at the Valparaiso Invitational, running 26:29 over 8,000 meters … improved that time dramatically the next weekend at the National Catholic Championship, finishing third on the team and 11th overall in 25:32 … closed out his cross country season in the Gold Division race at the Notre Dame Invitational, where he covered 8,000 meters in 26:02 for 45th place … tried his hand in a variety of distances throughout the indoor track season … ran 4:26.5 for the mile at the Blue and Gold Invitational … moved up to the 3,000 meters at the Notre Dame Invitational, covering the distance in 8:44.39 … moved up yet again at the Meyo Invitational, running the 5,000 meters in 15:27.91 … kicked off the outdoor season at the Notre Dame Opener, improving on his top 5,000-meter time with a 15:24.7 … season-best effort in that event came at the Hillsdale Gina Relays, where he ran 15:14.66 to close out the year.

AS A FRESHMAN: Did not compete during the 2005 cross country and track seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Two-time letter winner in cross country and track and field St. Joseph High School … also earned three letters in soccer while at Trinity High School … earned all-state honors with his senior year 4×800-meter relay, placing fifth in the state … that team also set the school, conference, city, sectional, and regional record in the event (7:51.00) … the relay earned a national ranking of 21st in 2004 … earned all-conference and all-city honors as a senior in both cross country and track … member of the Honors Program at Notre Dame … son of Pamela and Gerard Bradley … one of eight children … born May 7, 1986 in Champaign, Ill. … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters with a double major in anthropology and theology (3.573 cumulative grade-point average through spring 2006 semester) … garnered Dean[apos]s List honors in spring 2006 after recording 3.917 semester GPA.
