AWARDS/ACCOLADES:

  • 2016 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

AS A SOPHOMORE:

  • Set a personal best distance of 16.33m in the shot put at the Alex Wilson Invite (indoor).
  • Recorded a PR in the discus at the Louisville Invite with a distance of 47.05m (outdoor).

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • Placed second in the shot put at the Wisconsin-Notre Dame Dual (15.03m).
  • Finished fourth in the weight throw at the Wisconsin-Notre Dame Dual (14.48m).

PREP AND PERSONAL:Â

  • Graduated from Farmington (Connecticut) High School in June 2015.
  • Was a five-time letterwinner in track & field and a three-time letterwinner in football.
  • Two-time state discus champion and two-time shot put champion (one indoor, one outdoor).
  • Was a track & field team captain as a junior and senior and a football team captain as a senior.
  • As a sophomore captured the Central Connecticut Conference West shot put title.
  • Part of Farmington’s CCC West co-Champion track & field team as a junior.
  • Team placed third overall in the 2014 State Class L Championships.
  • 2014 CCC West and Class L discus champion.
  • 2014 First Team All-State and All-Hartford Courant teams (discus).
  • 2015 Class L indoor shot put champion.
  • 2015 First Team All-State (indoor shot put).

  • Involved with Eagle Scouts, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta/Math Honor Society and the Connecticut Youth Symphony (third-chair cello).

  • National Merit Scholarship finalist.
  • 2014 Gettysburg College Book Award Winner for Distinguished Study of American History.
  • 2015 Farmington High School Scholar-Athlete Award winner.
  • FHS Outstanding Student in History and Outstanding Achievement in Mathematics.
  • Named “Most Well-Rounded” in FHS yearbook.
  • In 2012, played an orchestra concert at Carnegie Hall and, in 2013, played two concerts with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
  • Attended the same high school as former Notre Dame basketball player Tim Abromaitis (’11).
  • Son of Christopher and Pamela Hardiman of Farmington, Connecticut.
  • Has two older brothers, Greg and Nick.
  • Brother Nick (’17) also attends Notre Dame.
  • Plans to pursue a degree in chemical engineering.
