AS A JUNIOR:

• Qualified for a spot at the NCAA East Regional meet where he crossed the 10,000 meters finish in 30:56.02
• Earned a personal best 10K time of 28:54.46 at the Raleigh Relays where he finished ninth
• Notched a PR in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:18.52 at the ACC Indoor Championships
• Runner-up in the 5,000-meter run (14:21.01) at the Meyo Invitational
• Set a PR in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:16.43, on the way to an event win at the Notre Dame Invitational

AS A SOPHOMORE:

• Competed in the 5,000-meter run and the 10,000-meter run at the ACC Outdoor Championships
• Placed fifth in the 3,000-meter run (8:30.90) at the Alex Wilson Invitational
• Established a PR in the mile with a time of 4:17.85 at the Michigan Wolverine Invitational

AS A FRESHMAN:

• Did not compete during the 2016-17 track & field season.

PREP AND PERSONAL:

• Graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in June 2016
• Lettered four times in cross country and track and field
• Was the school record holder in the 3,200 meters (9:04) and three-mile race
• Received cross country all-conference honors all four years
• Earned all-state honors three times
• Son of Mike and Laurie Salvano.
• Has one brother, Steven
• Intends to major in finance and economics
