AWARDS/ACCOLADES:

AS A SENIOR:

Led the Irish in the 600m with a PR performance of 1:19.57 at the Illini Classic (indoor).
Also held the best time in the 800m with a PR mark of 1:49.58 at the ACC Indoor Championship.

AS A JUNIOR: Â

Started the season with a win in the 800m (1:51.66) and in the 4x400m relay (Rutkowski, Harvel, Groesch) at the Blue & Gold Invitational (3:19.90).
Helped the 4x400m relay (Stimson, Smith, Groesch) to a first place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational (3:13.41).
Contributed to a sixth place finish by the distance medley relay (Dumford, Smith, Marco) at the Alex Wilson Invitational (9:31.20), which was the fourth-best time in school history.
Placed fourth (3:13.64) in the 4x400m relay (Stimson, Smith, Groesch) at the ACC Indoor Championships.
Helped the 4x400m relay (Stimson, Dunn, Groesch) to a second place finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships (3:14.14).

AS A SOPHOMORE:Â

Kicked off Notre Dame tenure with a first place finish in the 800 meters at the Blue and Gold Invitational (1:52.98).
Also led off the third place 4x400m relay at the same event (3:26.36).
Placed sixth in the 600m at the Notre Dame Invitational (1:20.82).
Finished fourth in the 800m at the Alex Wilson Invitational, leading the Irish hoard (1:51.28).
Part of the Irish 4x400m relay team of Chris Giesting, Harvey Smith and Alex Groesch that finished 8th at the ACC Outdoor Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN: Â

Recorded a first place finish among 17 runners in the Notre Dame Invitational 800m run (1:52.09).

PREP AND PERSONAL:Â

Graduated from Frank Cox High School in the spring of 2013.
Competed in the middle distance events, specializing in the 800m, 1,000m and 4x800m relay.
Has PR of 1:53.26 in the 800m.
Enrolled in the College of Engineering and majoring in mechanical engineering.
