AWARDS AND ACCOLADES:

• 2017 Second Team All-ACC (Indoor Distance Medley Relay)

AS A SENIOR:

• Won the mile with a time of 4:15.44 at the Blue & Gold Invitational in his first race in two years after missing each of the last two indoor and outdoor track seasons due to injury

AS A JUNIOR:

• Did not compete

AS A SOPHOMORE:

• Did not compete

AS A FRESHMAN:

• Set a PR in the 800m at the Alex Wilson Invite with a time of 1:51.40 (indoor)
• Competed in the finals of the mile at the ACC Indoor Championship, recording a personal best time of 4:06.32
• Recorded a PR time of 3:49.54 in the 1,500m at the Virginia Challenge (outdoor)
• Ran to third place with a time of 3:49.04 in the 1,500m at the USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships in June 2017

PREP AND PERSONAL:

• Graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in May 2016
• Earned four letters in cross country, four in track and three in swimming
• Third-place finish in the state track championships
• Won a state title in swimming his senior year
• Finished as the runner-up in the Iowa State Championships as a junior
• Won first place in the Iowa State Championships in the 800 meters, 1,600. meters, 3,200 meters and Distance Medley as a senior was the runner-up at the Festival of Miles
• Son of Michael and Kathy Schweizer
• Has two sisters, Karissa and Kelsey
• Intends to major in business.
