PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Mabrey was a two-time team captain at Notre Dame and emerged as one of the top 3-point shooters in the ACC during her final three seasons
  • At the time of her graduation, Mabrey ranked third in school history for career 3-point attempts, fourth in school history in career 3-pointers made (228), sixth in school history in career games played 142, seventh in school history in career 3-point field goal percentage (.396)
  • Part of the winningest class in Notre Dame women’s basketball history (2012-16), Mabrey’s squads advanced to three Final Fours, including two title game appearances (2014 & 2015). The Irish also swept regular season and conference tournament titles all four years in which Mabrey was on campus (one Big East + three ACC).
  • Played for the Irish alongside her sister, Marina, in 2015-16. They were the first sister combination to play for Notre Dame’s women’s basketball program in the same season since Carol and Maggie Lally in 1978-79

COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Mabrey has emerged as one of the top guard coaches in the country
  • Years three through six were extremely successful for Mabrey after bringing in Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron and serving as their position coach. In 2023-24, Notre Dame won the 2024 ACC Tournament for the first time since 2019. Over the three Tournament games, Citron averaged 18.7 points and 6 boards per game. She also shot 45 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from deep. In total, Citron averaged 17.3 points per game over the course of the year despite missing nine games with a knee sprain. That mark is the sixth-most by a junior in program history. Citron was named to the All-ACC Second Team and was the team’s Co-MVP for the year. She was drafted No. 3 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics and was one of three WNBA rookies to make the 2025 All-Star Game. She was also the only rookie selected to be a part of the 2025 All-Star Game 3-Point Contest
  • In 2022-23 Mabrey and the Irish won the regular season ACC title and advanced to the program’s second consecutive Sweet 16. Miles was the ACC Player of the Year runner-up, and Citron made the All-ACC First Team.
  • In 2021-22, Notre Dame was the only program with two freshmen on ESPN’s top-10 freshman list (Miles No. 2 / Citron No. 6). Additionally, the Irish were just one of two programs in all of Division I who had two freshmen both average double-digit points.
  • As a freshman, Miles ranked second in the nation in assists per game (7.4), led the team in scoring (13.7 ppg), posted nine double-doubles, including two triple-doubles, and was a Nancy Lieberman Award Top-5 Finalist. Not to mention, she was First-Team All-ACC. Citron was the 2022 ACC Freshman of the Year after averaging 11.8 points, 6.6 rebounds. In fact, she was one of two freshmen in the entire country who averaged at least 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals.
  • In her first year with the Irish, Mabrey was instantly recognized by the WBCA, landing on their Thirty Under 30 honoree list. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
  • Mabrey became the coordinator of program and player development at the University of Miami for the 2016-17 season, aiding the staff in preparing scouting material and conducting on-campus recruiting visits. The following year, Mabrey moved to Miami (Ohio) as an assistant, where the Redhawks went on to produce a 21-11 record and recorded the biggest turn-around that year in NCAA Division I by a first-year coaching staff.
  • For the 2018-19 season, Mabrey accepted a Director of Recruiting position at LSU. There she coordinated the daily recruiting operational and logistical processes for the women’s basketball program.
