• Shot a 65 (-6) in the second round of the 2017 Schooner Fall Classic (par 71) for the lowest round in Fighting Irish history.  
• Concluded her career with a 74.89 stroke average, which ranks as the fifth-best career stroke average in program history.
• Saw 76 of her 82 career rounds counted towards team scoring (.927), which ranks as the seventh-best percentage in the Irish records book. 
• Her 2017-18 stroke average of 73.86 ranks as the seventh-lowest single season stroke average in program history.

AS A SENIOR

• Finished the 2018-19 season with an 73.56 stroke average (second-lowest on the team).
• Shot three rounds at even par during the fall slate.
• Started the first three Notre Dame tournaments of the fall 2018 season before missing the remainder of the year.
• Tied for 35th place to open the season at the Minnesota Invitational (Sept. 10-11), carding rounds of 76-72-75=223 (+7).
• Shared 44th place at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 28-30) with a final score of 217 (74-72-71. +4).
• Claimed a share of 28th place in final start at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational (Oct. 5-7), firing rounds of 72-76-74=222 (+6).

AS A JUNIOR

• Finished the 2017-18 season with a 73.86 stroke average (second-lowest on the team).
• Carded seven under par rounds (two in the 60’s) and two at even par.
• Competed in all 10 of Notre Dame’s events in the 2017-18 season, starting in the top-five each tournament.
• Finished T-9th at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 23-25), shooting rounds of 76-65-69=210 (-3).

AS A SOPHOMORE

• Finished the 2016-17 season with a 75.38 stroke average (fourth-lowest on team).
• Carded  three under par rounds (one in the 60’s) and one at even par.
• Competed in seven of Notre Dame’s nine events in the 2016-17 season, starting in the top five each tournament.
• Nineteen of her 21 rounds counted towards the team score.
• Finished T-27th at the opening fall tournament, the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 24-26) shooting rounds of 69-78-72=219 (+6).
• Finished T-30 at the Jim West Challenge (Oct. 9-10) shooting rounds of 71-73-75=219 (+3).

HIGH SCHOOL

• Graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky.
• 2013 Kentucky Miss Golf.
• 2013 Sacred Heart Academy Athlete of the Year.
• Three-time all state selection (2012-14).
• Four time all-region choice (2011-14), and four time all-county pick (2011-14).
• Helped Sacred Heart win four Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) state championships during her career.
• Led team to state records for largest margin of victory (43 stokes in 2011) and lowest team score (615 in 2013).
• Individually won 17 high school tournaments, including 2013 KHSAA regional and prestigious Sacred Heart Bunny Daugherty Invitational twice (2013 and 2014).
• Posted a 71.50 stroke average as a senior in 2014, winning four invitational tournaments, placing second at regional tournament (70,-2) and fifth at state tournament (146,+2).
• Made 14- foot putt on final regulation hole of state tournament to force team playoff that Sacred Heart won.
• Registered 71.00 stroke average in junior season (2013), winning nine tournaments and shooting under par in 10 of 16 competitive rounds.
• Won regional title (71,-1) and placed second at state tournament (145,+1).
• Won Bunny Daugherty Invitational at Hurstbourne Country Club with course record 66.
• Took third at state tournament as a sophomore in 2012 (149,+5).

PERSONAL DATA

• Full name is Madeleine Rose Hamilton.
• Daughter of Kim and Vince Hamilton, and is the oldest of two children.
• Brother, Allen, plays golf at the University of Kentucky.
• Father, Vince, Played golf at University of Kentucky from 1981-85, earning Academic All-Southeastern Conference honors in 1983-84.
• Second player from state of Kentucky to play for the Fighting Irish (joining Lauren Fuchs, from Louisville, who played two seasons for Notre Dame ((2000-2002)).
• Near forefront of her high school with a 3.95 cumulative GPA.
• Spent portion of 2017 summer on an academic trip to Greece with teammate Emma Albrecht and several other Notre Dame student-athletes.
• Majoring in Management (Consulting) with a minor Constitutional Studies.
• Had a Senator McConnell Internship in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2018.
