AS A SENIOR:

• Started 22 games as a senior and scored one goal.
• Made a penalty kick to help Notre Dame advance past Texas A&M to the NCAA Sweet 16

AS A JUNIOR:

• Started all 21 games for the Irish
• Played a key defensive role as the Irish surrendered just nine goals and merely 9.8 shots per game on the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE:

• Appeared in 19 games, making eight starts, splitting time between defense and midfield
• Tallied first career goal on an eventual game-winner against No. 5 Virginia Tech (Oct, 30); redirected a cross from Brittany Von Rueden from the top of the penalty box to give the Irish the lead
• Wrapped the season with one goal on six shots
• Earned a monogram

AS A FRESHMAN:

• Played a total of 11 games season and started one against No. 9 North Carolina
• Registered 389 minutes of playing time
• Managed five shots in 2014, three of which were against Toledo
• Played for 86 minutes against No. 9 North Carolina, 71 minutes against Toledo, 47 minutes against Wake Forest, and 35 minutes against No. 2 Florida State in the ACC Championship semifinal game
• Earned a monogram

NATIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS:

• Member of of the 2010 and 2011 U.S. Soccer Girls National Team Under-15 player pool
• Included in the 2013 U-18 Women’s National Team player pool alongside fellow Notre Dame classmates Monica and Sabrina Flores, Megan McCashland, Paige Crowley and Lexi Nicholas.

WPSL/ODP/CLUB TEAM HIGHLIGHTS:

• Played alongside former Notre Dame teammate Brittany Von Rueden for Chicago Red Stars Reserves in Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) during summer of 2014, helping team win Midwest Conference title and reach WPSL semifinals
• Took part in the 2013 Nike Chance/ECNL/id2 National Training Camp and “The Chance” World Tour team trip to England
• Competed with the Eclipse Select club team from 2010-13
• Team claimed the 2013 ECNL U-23 National Championship
• Attended the 2011 Puma Women’s Showcase, and was a 2011 State Cup finalist and Regional champion
• Member of the regional pool in 2009 and 2010

PREP & PERSONAL:

• Graduated from Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Ill.
• Freshman MVP, all-conference, all-state and all-academic selection (2010)
• North Suburban Conference champion, regional and sectional champion (2010)
• Played field hockey (2012-13) and won back-to-back state championships
• Ranked No. 11 in the 2014 Top Drawer Soccer Girls IMG Academy 150 player ratings (five-star ranking; No. 1 in Midwest Region; No. 3 among all defenders nationally)
• Daughter of Karen and Michael McGowan
• Father, Michael, is a 1983 Notre Dame graduate
• Has two younger siblings (Quinn and Grace)
• Continues remarkable pipeline of talent from the Chicagoland area to Notre Dame, a group that includes former Fighting Irish defenders Katie Naughton and Sammy Scofield (the latter also an Eclipse Select club product), as well as former Notre Dame All-Americans Brittany Bock, Jen Buczkowski, Jen Grubb and Alison Lester, among many others
• Has played the piano since she was eight years old
• Obsessed with the Christmas holiday, the TV show “Gossip Girl” and her dog, Powder
• Favorite dessert is kolache (pronounced koh-LAH-chay), a Central European pastry often served at wedding receptions
• Enrolled in Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business
