- If there was a 12th woman of the team award it would have gone to Mercado, who was stellar of the bench in 2021. Mercado was the fourth and final Irish player to reach double-digit points on the year, joining Albert, Wingate and Fisher. The San Diego native finished with 14 points behind five goals and four assists.
- Finished with the second-most game-winners on the squad with three – at Miami (9/23), vs Boston College (9/26) and vs Wake Forest (10/28).
- Tallied a three-point game at Miami (one goal, one assist) on Sept. 23, all within a five-minute span.
- Registered a penalty-kick goal against Boston College
- Notched the first brace of her career against Detroit Mercy (9/9).
- Produced a spectacular game-winner against Wake Forest when she scored directly off a corner kick.
As a Sophomore (2020)
- ACC All-Academic Team
- Played in all 13 games and made 11 starts during her second year with the Irish.
- Finished the year with two goals, four points and 758 minutes played.
- Was named to the All-ACC Academic Team following the season.
- Earned her first career goal in the 2-0 home win over Missouri (3/20).
- The very next game, she scored the equalizer against No. 18 Oklahoma State to send the game into overtime (4/11).
As a Freshman (2019)
- Played in 16 games and made seven starts in her freshman season with the Irish.
- Recorded two assists and played 909 minutes.
- Tallied her first collegiate points on the assist to Olivia Wingate’s goal in the 4-0 home win over St. John’s.
- Her second assist came on Kiki Van Zanten’s first goal in the 4-0 home win over Pitt.
- Played a season high 100 minutes in the 0-0 tie at home against No. 16 Louisville.

- Dad, David played tennis at the University of Central Florida. Mom, Shelley, played tennis at the University of Florida and continued on to a professional career. Brother, Michael, was selected in the 2nd round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays.
