#6 Anna Rico Women's Soccer Roster

2022 Season (Grad Year at Notre Dame):

• Subbed in for the Irish in 6 games, logging 96 minutes on the pitch.
• Produced 4 total shots, including one on net.
• Played in both the first and second round NCAA Tournament victories over Omaha and Santa Clara.

Coach Norman on Rico:

“Anna is a great addition to our team. We have competed against Anna in the ACC and she has always been a very dangerous attacking player. She will be a fantastic fit to our team because she is such a versatile and dynamic player in the attack. She can combine, take players on 1v1 and score plenty of goals.  We are very excited and fortunate to have Anna join our team.”

Pitt Career:

• Was one of 19 Panthers in school history to record at least 20 career points with 24
• Ranked ninth in career points per game (0.52)
• Tied for 10 in career game-winning goals (three).

2020:

• Appeared in all 14 games with nine starts
• Tied for second on the team in points (10) and goals (four)
• Placed eight of 18 shots on goal
• Totaled 593 minutes played
• Recorded two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist in a win at App State (9/13)
• Scored the game-winning goal against Boston College (10/8) and followed with another goal in the next game, a win over Navy (10/11).

2019:

• Played in 16 games for the Panthers, earning the start in 12 contests
• Totaled 1,085 minutes on the season, with one goal and four assists.

2018:

• Played in 15 matches, starting 14 as a true freshman
• Tallied 1,106 minutes
• Scored three goals on the season to lead the team
• Found the back of the net against Ohio (Aug. 17), Morehead State (Aug. 19), and Kent State (Aug. 24)
• Recorded one assist against Miami (Oct. 4).

HIGH SCHOOL:

• Attended Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
• Played club soccer for Ambassadors FC (2008-18)
• Helped her team to be MRL Champions 2017, Disney Showcase Champions 2017, and National Semi-Finalists 2016
• Was MRL Champion Leading Scorer (2017) and Disney Showcase Leading Scorer (2017)
• Won National Coast League State Champions D1 her freshman and sophomore years of high school.

PERSONAL:

• Daughter of Scott and Sue Rico … Has one older sister; Samantha, and one older brother; Nicholas … Attended mission trip to Peru to assist Ambassadors FC Peru team
