2022 Season (Grad Year at Notre Dame)

  • ACC All-Academic Team
  • Provided valuable minutes off the bench for the Irish, seeing action in 17-of-23 games. Logged a total of 232 minutes on the pitch in both the midfield and the defense.
  • She recorded her one assist of the year in the NCAA Tournament First Round victory over Omaha.
  • Recorded a total of 4 shots.

2021 (Senior)
Ashley Zugay played in all 18 games, making seven-straight starts to finish the season. She amassed 996 minutes and played the complete game five times. She recorded three assists, taking five shots, four of which were on goal. On Oct. 17 against Wisconsin, Zugay assisted Eleanor Dale’s game-winning goal in the 82nd minute.

2020-21 (Junior)
Zugay played and started in all 10 games in 2020-21. She played the entire match seven times on the season for a total of 946 minutes on the field. Zugay earned her first point as a Husker with an assist in a 2-1 win over Purdue (Mar. 4). She totaled four shots, three of which were on goal.

2019 (Sophomore)
Zugay played in all 18 games in 2019 and made 15 starts, amassing 1,442 minutes. She managed nine shots, three of which were on goal. Zugay played 90 or more minutes in 10 games. She played at least 45 minutes in 17 of her 18 appearances.

2018 (Freshman)
Zugay played in 19 games, making nine starts, during her first year at Nebraska. She compiled four shots, two of which were on goal, in 1,087 minutes of action. She saw the bulk of her action in conference play, playing 70 or more minutes in nine of the last 13 games. Zugay played the entire time in both of NU’s Big Ten Tournament matches. The Huskers went 9-7-5 overall in 2018 and posted a 5-3-3 record in conference play to tie for fifth in the Big Ten.

Club Information
Zugay played club soccer for Michigan Hawks DA (2017-18) and Vardar ECNL (2013-17), serving as a team captain from 2014 to 2017. The Hawks were coached by Doug Landefeld, while Vardar was coached by Demir Muftari. Zugay also attended the ECNL Midwest Player Development Program in 2016 and 2017, and the U.S. Soccer Training Center sessions in 2014.

Personal Information
Ashley is the daughter of Dana and Jeff Zugay, and was born on Feb. 7, 2000. Ashley has one sister, Abby, and one brother, Jack. Ashley is majoring in economics.
