Bio

Kyne Sheehy joined the University of Notre Dame Athletics Department in 2022 and currently serves as Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Sales, Premium Seating, and Service.

In his role as Assistant Athletics Director, Sheehy oversees sales and service for the four main ticketed sports including football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and hockey. Covering season tickets to group sales, Kyne’s team is focused on providing superior service to our fans and growing ND’s reach through Athletics. Since joining Notre Dame, he has become an active member of the Athletics Culture Curators as well as NAATSO committee member.

Under his leadership, Notre Dame sold out all 6 football home games in 2023 for the first time in a while. Additionally, games against Ohio State and USC were the two largest grossing revenue games in history.

Before his role at Notre Dame, Kyne oversaw the National Sales Center for The Aspire Group. During his tenure in Atlanta, GA he oversaw all remote partnerships they supported including brands like, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL Soccer), International Champions Cup (Soccer), US Open (Tennis), and many more. In this role, Kyne was focused on sales and marketing efforts for these brands in addition to managing the support staff. Earning an eventual promotion to Senior Director his top priorities included partner success, personal and professional development of teammates & impacting the bottom line in a sustainable fashion.

In 2017, Kyne joined The Aspire Group to oversee Season Ticket Sales for the LA Chargers partnership. With back to back seasons of sold out season tickets, his team helped to increase the LA fanbase as they transitioned into their new home.

After his time in minor league baseball, Kyne was fortunate to serve as the Director of Sales for the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (LA Clippers G-League franchise) & helped launch the franchise’s inaugural season. His responsibilities included the oversight of sales and marketing, recruitment/hiring/training of sales team, community initiatives, and more.

Prior to his time in the G-League, Kyne spent five (5) seasons in minor league baseball (MiLB) with the Mobile BayBears (AA MiLB Affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.) Starting as an Account Executive, he was eventually promoted to Director of Sales for his final three seasons in Alabama, where he wore lots of different hats and helped improve all parts of the business.

Upon graduation, he launched his sports sales career with the LA Clippers as an Inside Sales Executive. Learning what a career in sports could look like, he quickly doubled down on the opportunity to grow and develop in the sports industry.

Kyne began his career at his alma mater, San Diego State University, where he spent three seasons working in the Box Office on football gamedays. Kyne graduated from SDSU in 2011 with his bachelor’s degree in political science.

A native of San Diego, CA, some fun facts about Kyne are that he’s one of 8 children (6 boys, 2 girls), enjoys outdoor activities, loves ALL sports, and is an avid bobblehead collector.
