MADISON, Wisc. — With just a couple of weeks until ACC Championships, Grace Courtney, Ben Nguyen and Katie Raby will get in a bit of extra practice on the platform on Saturday at the Badger Invite at Soderholm Aquatic Center. The Notre Dame women saw Wisconsin earlier this season at a tri-meet at Michigan and fell 223-118, but the divers did not attend. Badger divers did, however, compete at the Tim Welsh Classic in South Bend two weeks ago.
Courtney is coming off of her best meet as a Notre Dame diver, as the junior won the 3-meter with a personal best of 351.25 at Tim Welsh. She also placed third in the 1-meter (268.10). Of note, Courtney was able to top the Badger divers at the meet. She placed 14th in the platform at last year’s ACC Championships.
Fellow junior Nguyen placed second in both the 1-meter (350.25) and the 3-meter (356.75) at Tim Welsh. A 2024 NCAA qualifier as well, Nguyen was the bronze medalist in the platform at ACC Championships last year.
