SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Junior Kate Timarky and sophomore Madison Rassas were named to the IWLCA All-Region Team (West/Midwest Region) on Thursday afternoon.
The duo was also named to the USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team last week. The Irish standouts were also named IL Women Midseason All-Americans, named to the All-ACC Team, and were all Tewaaraton Watch List honorees. Most recently, Timarky was named a Tewaaraton Nominee.
Timarky was named to the IWLCA All-Region First Team and Rassas was named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team for the second season in a row. Both are tied for second in the ACC and 26th in the nation with 54 goals each on the season.
Timarky finished with a team-best 70 points as the attacker surpassed the 100 career-points milestone earlier this season after recording a career-high 10 points in the win over Liberty. She is second in the ACC in goals per game and 11th nationally (3.60). She is fourth in the conference in points (70) and third in points per game (4.67). She has also recorded 19 ground balls so far this season and has scored a hat trick or more in 11 games.
Rassas received several honors in the preseason as well, including being named to the 2026 Preseason All-ACC Team and received USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American honors. The midfielder finished the year with 66 points, while also recording 24 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and 8 draw controls. Rassas is third in the ACC in goals per game (3.00), sixth in points (66), and eighth in points per game (3.67).
