CHARLOTTE – Notre Dame attacking center midfielder Kiki Van Zanten made her presence known this past Saturday night in the 3-0 win over Louisville, and the ACC office took notice. For the first time this season and second time of her career, Van Zanten is your ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
Van Zanten has been one of the main cogs that churns the Notre Dame offense and it’s now becoming evident in the final box scores as well. Against Louisville on Sept. 30, she recorded a five-point night behind two goals and one assist. It marked the second most points of her career, only behind a hat trick she achieved back in 2020 against Miami.
The graduate student has been on fire as of late. She now has even points over the last three games. Her 11 points now lead the team. In addition, Van Zanten’s four goals are tied for the team lead.
Up next, Van Zanten and the rest of the Fighting Irish wrap up a homestand with Thursday and Sunday games inside Alumni Stadium. Up first is Boston College at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5, followed by Miami at 1 p.m. on Oct. 8.
