The University of Notre Dame volleyball team posted its 14th victory of the season and fifth BIG EAST Conference win with a three-game sweep (30-26, 31-29, 30-21) at Georgetown on Saturday afternoon. The Irish are now 14-3 on the season and 5-0 in league competition. The Hoyas drop to 12-7 and 3-2 in the BIG EAST.
Notre Dame was led by three hitters with double-digit kills in the match. Freshman Lauren Kelbley and junior Katie Neff both had 13 kills, while sophomore Emily Loomis chalked up 11. All three Irish hitters enjoyed accurate offensive days, as Kelbley hit .611, Neff .409 and Loomis .304. As a team, Notre Dame ended up hitting .257.
Keara Coughlin led the Notre Dame defensive effort with 11 digs, while the Irish team ended up with 12 team blocks.
