SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Due to poor weather conditions in the forecast, Wednesday’s softball contest with Michigan has been postponed. The Fighting Irish and Wolverines are working to find a potential make-up date later this season.
The Irish are scheduled to return to Melissa Cook Stadium this Friday as they host the Virginia Cavaliers in a three-game Atlantic Coast Conference series. Notre Dame is also hosting its 14th annual Strikeout Cancer weekend. The Iish will be wearing orange accents to raise awareness for childhood leukemia.
Saturday will feature a Strikeout Cancer can koozie giveaway, in addition to the team hosting a trivia event Saturday evening, and a home run derby post game Sunday.
