SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame softball team’s three-game series with the NC State Wolfpack will have different start times than originally scheduled for this weekend. The Fighting Irish will now take on the Wolfpack at 4 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday, with Sunday’s finale staying at its original start time of noon.
Notre Dame enters the weekend winners nine of the last 11. Last weekend, the Irish bounced back after dropping the series opener at Georgia Tech to win the series with a couple late inning victories. Last time out, Notre Dame used a four-run sixth inning to earn the 4-2 win over the visiting Michigan State Spartans.
The Irish enter the weekend with a 14-11 overall record against the Wolfpack, going 8-3 at home.
NC State brings an 18-9 record into this weekend, and are 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference action. The Wolfpack picked up a ranked win over Clemson in its lone conference win, and had a couple 11-inning battles with Georgia Tech. This will be the second ACC series away from Raleigh, with it being the first home weekend of the year for the Irish.
