SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The accolades continue to roll in for Irish defender Grace Weigand, a 2025 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team. After serving as team captain in her senior season, Weigand was named to the 2025 Senior All-Star Team by the IWLCA, Wednesday.
Weigand finished the season appearing in all 15 games and tied for first in ground balls with 31. She also boasted a caused turnover average over 1.00 as she registered 18 causes in 15 games played, ranking third on the team. in addition to her on-field achievements, Weigand was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and earned numerous All-American honors.
The Senior All-Star game will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. Weigand will compete as a member of the Division I Blue All-Stars scheduled for a 3pm start on Tierney Field.
