WINTER PROSPECT CAMP – MORE INFO

By Russell Dorn

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Head coach Mik Aoki and the coaching staff of the University of Notre Dame baseball program would like to welcome high school players to campus for next month’s winter prospect camp set for December 19.

The one-day camp provides an excellent opportunity for high school aged players to receive instruction from the Irish coaching staff on different aspects of the game including hitting, defense, pitching and base running.

The camp offers personal and group instruction with special attention given to proper instruction and drills to enhance the skill level of each individual.

Check-in is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (ET) on December 19 at the indoor hitting facility at Frank Eck Stadium.

Interested participants are encouraged to register as early as possible since only a limited number of spots are available for each class year.

All prospective campers must submit a completed application form. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis until all positions are filled. Acceptance of a camper will be verified upon receipt of the application with full payment. Please note that it is extremely important to provide a valid email address, as our confirmation and all communication will be sent via email.

The cost for the winter prospect camp is $150 per participant. Upon arrival, all campers will receive a Notre Dame baseball camp t-shirt.

Campers will have a chance to check out Notre Dame’s Loftus Athletic Center and Frank Eck Stadium, which boasts an indoor hitting facility that features six batting cages, state of the art pitching machines and HitTrax Technology, the first such system introduced to a college program.

To register, individuals must complete an application form with full payment to:

University of Notre Dame
Baseball Office
202 Joyce Center
Notre Dame, IN 46556

Each camper should bring their own baseball equipment – bat, glove, batting gloves, spikes and turf shoes. Catchers should also bring their own gear.

All questions about the winter prospect camp can be directed to former Irish standout and camp coordinator Robert Youngdahl by calling (574) 631-6577 or emailing him at baseball@nd.edu.
