NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The 18th-ranked Notre Dame women’s tennis blanked Yale 9-0 on Saturday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. The Irish dropped just one set in sweeping the singles and then won all three doubles for the victory. Notre Dame improves to 3-1, while Yale drops its opening match of the dual-match season. The Irish return to action next weekend at the Rolex National Indoor Championships in Dallas, Texas, the third leg of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association collegiate grand slam.

Junior All-American Michelle Dasso, sophomore Nina Vaughan, sophomore Lindsey Green and junior Kimberly Guy each on in straight sets at Nos. 1-4 singles. Freshman Katie Cunha rallied for a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory over Elizabeth Oosterhuis at No. 5 singles in the first dual singles match of her career. Senior Scaringe won in straight sets at No. 6 singles.

The 15th-ranked doubles team of Cunha and Guy beat Cynthia Obsitnik 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Dasso and Vaughan won at No. 2, while Green and Scaringe were victories at No. 3 doubles.
