NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Head coach Christine Halfpenny is pleased to announce the upcoming fall schedule for the Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team Tuesday afternoon. The Irish will be taking the field five times over the fall season, with three full games scheduled and two play days.
The fall season kicks off Saturday, Sept. 29, when the Irish square off with Michigan for a full game scrimmage. Saturday’s game will be held at Arlotta Stadium with opening draw scheduled for 1 p.m.
The next weekend, the Irish will hit the road to Princeton, N.J. for a play day with three different teams. The play day is set for Oct. 6 and the Irish will face off with Delaware (2:30 p.m.), Princeton (12:30 p.m.), and Vanderbilt (10:30 a.m.) throughout the course of the day.
The Irish return home on Oct. 13 for a full game against regional foe Marquette. The game is set for a 9 a.m. start and will be in conjunction with the team’s reunion weekend celebration.
Another play day is next on the fall slate for the Irish after the fall break. The Irish will host Cincinnati and Central Michigan on Oct. 27 at Arlotta Stadium. The Irish will open with the Bearcats at 2 p.m. and take on the Chippewas at 4:10 p.m.
To close out the fall the schedule, Notre Dame will travel to Northwestern for their final full game of the fall. The regional foes will square off on Friday, Nov. 2 at Martin Stadium with first draw scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
