NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team is set to compete on five occasions this fall semester, head coach Christine Halfpenny announced today (Sept. 25).
The Irish will kick off the fall slate this Saturday (Sept. 28) at Arlotta against Marquette at 9 a.m. ET.
Notre Dame will return to action with a pair of contests in The Centennial State over fall break next month. The Irish will open their west coast trip against Denver on October 19th at 4:30 p.m. before meeting Colorado on Monday October 21st at 11 a.m.
The squad will then travel to Ann Arbor for a matchup against the Wolverines on Saturday, October 26th at 11 a.m. ET before the Irish football team takes on Michigan later that day.
The Irish close out the fall schedule with home contest in Loftus against Northwestern on Friday, November 8th at 7 p.m.
Notre Dame welcomes a seven-member freshman class that has been ranked second-best by Inside Lacrosse. The Irish landed the top two recruits in the Class of 2019, with midfielder Kasey Choma named the nation’s top prospect and attacker Madison Ahern coming in at number two.
In addition, attacker Jackie Wolak was named the nation’s 15th best prospect while attackers Jane McAvoy and Ellie Mooney were also named to Inside Lacrosse’s Watchlist as Top 100 incoming freshmen.

The Irish have made the NCAA Tournament in seven of the last eight seasons under head coach Christine Halfpenny.
The 14 victories the Irish earned last season tied the 2016 Irish squad for the third-most wins in a single season in program history.
