SOUTH BEND, Ind. – With the fall preseason training now behind them, the University of Notre Dame women’s lacrosse program has announced its 2024 slate which includes eight home games and an exhibition on top of nine conference contests.
The Irish close out the first month of 2024 with an exhibition as they host Michigan on January 27 as the two teams prepare for the official start to the season in February.
Following their preseason game against Michigan, the Irish women will host five consecutive games at home including Eastern Michigan in the season opener (Feb. 9). The women then go on to host Central Michigan (Feb. 11), Northwestern (Feb. 16), Butler (Feb. 18) and Syracuse (Feb. 24) as they spend the entirety of February at home.
The team’s first road trip of the season comes the first week of March with a trip to Chapel Hill, North Carolina on the schedule to face UNC, March 2. They then return home to take on ACC foe Virginia on March 9 before embarking on a spring break trip to the East Coast to play Brown (March 13) and Boston College (March 16).
The Irish continue their road slate the following weekend with a pair of games in the South, traveling to conference rival Clemson on March 22 before a non-conference game at Mercer on March 24.
The team returns home to close out their home schedule with Pitt in town March 24 and Duke in South Bend on April 6.
Notre Dame finishes out their regular season on the road with trips to Liberty (April 11), Virginia Tech (April 13) and Louisville (April 18) before preparing for the post-season conference tournament at the end of April.
