Irish set to play 16 games this season

SOUTH BEND – The Notre Dame Women’s Lacrosse program is ready for spring with the announcement of their 2026 schedule.

The Irish are slated for 16 games with an even eight games at home and eight games on the road. The ACC docket will feature 10 conference games with five games on the road and five games at home.

With eight opportunities to see the Irish at home, it is free admission for both indoor games at Loftus Sports Center and outdoor games at Arlotta Stadium.

Before the first official game, Notre Dame will hit the road to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 24, for a preseason scrimmage. The Irish will officially open up the season at home against another Big Ten opponent, the Michigan Wolverines, on Friday night, Feb. 6 at home.

Shortly after, Central Michigan comes to town as the Irish host the Chippewas on Sunday, Feb. 8.

The Irish will then head out east to Massachusetts for a pair of games over the weekend of Feb. 13-15. Notre Dame will open up conference play with Boston College, who fell to Northwestern in the NCAA Tournament Semifinals last season. The Irish will take on Harvard two days later in Cambridge.

On Feb. 22, the Irish will host their first ACC game at home, taking on Virginia that Sunday. Almost a week later, the Pittsburgh Panthers will make the trek to South Bend as the two teams face off on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Once we get into March, the Irish are back on the road. They will first make the trip to Clemson on March 8 and then to Elon on March 10. After that, Notre Dame will head out west to take on the Stanford Cardinal, who are in just their second year with the ACC.

Three straight road games are then followed with a three-game homestand.

The Irish will host Florida State on March 21 as the Seminoles are in their very first year of the program. In a midweek matchup, the Irish will then host Robert Morris on Tuesday, March 24, before closing out the homestand with the Cal Golden Bears on March 28.

On April 4, the Irish will make the trip to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. While in Virginia, they head just shy of two hours down the road to Lynchburg to face Liberty on April 6.

In their last regular-season road test of the season, the Irish will take on the Syracuse Orange in New York on Saturday, April 11.

Lastly, the regular season will conclude at home with Louisville on Thursday, April 16. The 2026 ACC Tournament is scheduled for April 22-26 in Charlotte, NC.
