Women's Tennis Falls at #36 Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team dropped an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup with the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. The Fighting Irish got a win at No. 2 singles, but that was it for the day. Notre Dame falls to 8-7 on the year, and 1-4 in league play.

The Irish dropped No. 1 and No. 2 doubles as Georgia Tech earned the point. Georgia Tech’s top two tennis teams are ranked 13th and 12th, respectively.

In singles play, Julia Andreach earned Notre Dame’s lone point of the day with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2. Meghan Coleman battled to three sets at No. 6, but the Irish couldn’t find their footing.
