The University of Notre Dame men’s basketball team (18-8, 9-5 ACC) continues its three-game road swing at Wake Forest (11-16, 2-13 ACC) on Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET. The game is available via the ACC Regional Sports Network package.

NOTRE DAME VS. WAKE FOREST – BY THE NUMBERS

1 – The Irish boast the most efficient offense in the nation, according to the Pomeroy Adjusted Offensive Efficiency Index (124.2).

5.00 – Assists per game average in ACC games for junior guard Demetrius Jackson, which is second in the conference.

12 – Consecutive ‘bounce-back’ wins for Notre Dame. The Irish have not lost back-to-back games since the end of the 2013-14 season (see page 4 for more details).

9 – Wins over teams from North Carolina since the start of the 2014-15 season for the Irish. Notre Dame is 9-1 vs. teams from the Tar Heel State over that same stretch. (see page 3 for more details)

10.0 – Average rebounds per game for senior forward Zach Auguste – good for fourth in the ACC and 24th in the country. Auguste also is third in the ACC in field goal percentage (.543).

11 – Sophomore forward Bonzie Colson ranks 11th in the ACC in rebounding (7.2). Teammate Zach Auguste ranks fourth (10.0). Notre Dame is the only school in the conference with two players ranked in the top 11 in rebounding.

18.0 – Points per game for Demetrius Jackson in ACC play if you eliminate his game played vs. Boston College on Jan. 23 (Jackson left the game with a pulled hamstring in the game’s first two minutes). That average would rank him fourth in the ACC for conference-only games.

15.3 – Personal fouls per game committed by Notre Dame this season, a mark that leads the country. 23 – Associated Press ranking for the Irish this week. The Irish have now been in the AP poll a total of five weeks this season. Notre Dame is 20th in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.

294 – Career assists for Demetrius Jackson, poised to become the 18th Notre Dame player to reach the 300 assist plateau. Five of the top 10 players on the all-time assists list at Notre Dame have played during the Mike Brey Era.

THE LAST TIMEââ’¬¦ VS. WAKE FOREST: Senior captain A.J. Burgett made his first start of the 2015-16 season and responded with a career-high 14 points as the Irish defeated Wake Forest 85-62 at Purcell Pavilion on Jan. 31, 2016. Zach Auguste scored 21 points with 14 rebounds for the Irish, while Demetrius Jackson returned after missing two games with a hamstring pull to score 14 points. Devin Thomas had 19 points and eight rebounds for Wake Forest. See page 33 of this notes package for a boxscore from this game.

KEY TO THE CITY: Demetrius Jackson was honored by his high school alma mater on Tuesday, Feb. 9 and presented an award by the school. Jackson was surprised, however, by Mishawaka, Ind., mayor Dave Wood, who declared Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 as ‘Demetrius Jackson Day’ and presented the junior guard with a key to the city.

Jackson was a McDonald’s All-American at Marian High School, finishing as the top scorer in St. Joseph County history with 1,934 career points – breaking a record that had stood for over 25 years.

700 REBOUNDS, .560 SHOOTING: Zach Auguste is averaging a double-double in 2015-16 (14.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg) and has moved up the all-time Notre Dame rebound list along the way. With 697career rebounds entering the Wake Forest game, Auguste is poised to become the 19th player in Notre Dame basketball history to reach that mark.

Auguste is also shooting .563 in his career. Should he finish above .560 shooting for his time at Notre Dame, he would become just the fifth Irish player to shoot over .560 and grab 700-plus rebounds.
