The four-overtime thriller against Cal was a performance to remember. Burton’s 43-point performance was:
- The most by an Irish player in an ACC game
- The most by an Irish player in any game since Adrian Dantely recorded 49 against Air Force on Feb. 10, 1975
- The most by any ACC player in any game this season
Burton proved to the world he had the clutch gene as well, dropping 21 points throughout the overtime periods. During OT, he was 6-9 from the field and 4-4 from three.
Burton and the rest of the Fighting Irish return to the court on Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. ET against Pitt in the first round of the ACC Tournament in Charlotte.
