NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s tennis program will host the Bobby Bayliss Invitational this weekend, September 24-26th. Players from 10 schools including Notre Dame will be competing during the three-day event. Players from Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Cleveland State, DePaul, Western Michigan and Marquette will be in attendance
In total, nine Irish players will be competing this weekend, eight of which will see their first action of the fall. The junior class will lead the way as Matt Che, Matt Halpin, Braeden Ho and Connor Fu will all be competing. Freshman Brian Bilsey, Jamie Corsillo, Yu Zhang and graduate transfer Peter Conklin will don the ND uniform for the first time in their careers while Jean-Marc Malkowski will play in his first Bobby Bayliss Invitational as the tournament was not held during his freshman year.
Play will begin Friday morning at 11am on the outdoor courts. Saturday and Sunday start times will be 9am each day.
Weekend Schedule
Friday: 1 round of singles followed by 1 round of doubles
Saturday: 2 rounds of singles
Sunday: 1 round of doubles followed by 1 round of singles
