SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Carter Solomon has been named as the Atlantic Coast Conference Male Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday.
A graduate student for the Irish, Solomon set a new 8k course record at the Burke Golf Course with a time of 23:40.5 on Friday. Solomon captured the individual title at the National Catholic Invitational while helping the No. 7 ranked Irish claim the team title.
“It was a great start to the season for Carter,” said coach Chris Neal.”He was in control the entire race and did a great job leading his team.”
The Irish return to racing on Friday, October 4 when they host the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational.
