Molly Jergenson 2016-17 Cross Country Staff
Operations Specialist
Molly Jergenson was named the director of operations for cross country and track and field in the summer of 2013 after serving as an intern for the program during the 2012-13 school year.
Jergenson, who ran Division I cross country at Creighton from 2006-10, handles many of the day to day operations with the program including assisting with recruiting, compliance and equipment in addition to helping with meet management for two cross country and four track and field home meets a year. Prior to joining the Irish, Jergenson was an assistant men’s and women’s cross country coach at her alma mater for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. While with the Blue Jays she assisted with practices, equipment, travel operations and recruiting.
A standout in the classroom during her time at Creighton, Jergenson was presented with the 2009-10 Missouri Valley Conference President’s Council Academic Award and was a two-time recipient of the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award. On the course, Jergenson was a two-year captain. In 2009, she was named Creighton’s Most Outstanding Runner and received the Most Inspirational Athlete Award. Jergenson earned a B.S. in exercise science from Creighton in the spring of 2010 before earning a M.A. in exercise science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the spring of 2012.
