Crysti Foote will make her first appearance for Team Canada on June 23 when they face Wales in the opening game of the 2005 Women's Lacrosse World Cup.

Providence, R.I. – Notre Dame women’s lacrosse standout, Crysti Foote (Jr., Suffern, N.Y.) has been selected as the BIG EAST co-offensive player of the week for the week ending April 3. She shares the award with Georgetown’s Coco Stanwick. This marks the second time this season that Foote has taken BIG EAST offensive player of the week honors as she was also selected on February 28.

Foote scored seven goals for the Irish in two games as Notre Dame split a pair of BIG EAST games, losing to Connecticut, 13-10, on Friday, April 1 before defeating Rutgers, 12-9, on Sunday, April 3 at Moose Krause Stadium.

In the loss to Connecticut, Foote scored four goals to pace the Irish offense, giving the junior three games this season with four or more goals in a game. She added one ground ball and a pair of draw controls on the evening.

In Sunday’s 12-9 win over Rutgers, Foote, a preseason all-BIG EAST selection, scored three times, including the game winner with two ground balls and two draw controls for the game. With her first goal of the game at 7:27 of the first half, Foote became just the sixth player in Notre Dame women’s lacrosse history to score 100 or more points in her career. With her three-goal game, she currently has 73 goals and 29 assists for 102 points in 41 career games, ranking sixth in all three categories on Notre Dame’s scoring charts.

On the season, Foote leads Notre Dame in scoring with 20 goals and nine assists for 29 points. She is also fourth in ground balls (17), second in draw controls (16) and second in caused turnovers (11). In three BIG EAST games this season, Foote has eight goals and three assists for 11 points.

The Irish are 3-6 overall and 1-2 in BIG EAST play. Foote and her teammates will be back in action this week with a pair of home games. On Friday, April 8, the Irish play host to fifth-ranked Duke in a 4:00 p.m. game at Moose Krause Stadium. On Sunday, April 10, Notre Dame will face Stanford University in a 12:00 noon game that will be played indoors at the Loftus Sports Center.
