Senior Dane Goodwin has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, December 27, 2021, after leading the Irish through a 2-0 week in Purcell Pavilion.
Goodwin averaged 19.5 points per game last week, while pulling down 5.5 rebounds per contest and shooting .692 (9-13) from three-point range. He shares the ACC award with Femi Odukale from Pittsburgh who scored 28 points against Jacksonville.
Against Western Michigan, the Upper Arlington, Ohio, native scored 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting with five rebounds and four three pointers. Two days later against Texas A&M Corpus Christi Goodwin logged his first 20-point game of the season, scoring a game-high 21 points and 7-of-14 shooting with five three pointers, six rebounds and three steals.
