UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Freshman Davis Lamb picked up a top-10 individual finish by pacing the Notre Dame men’s golf team with a final-round 71 as the Irish wrapped up play Tuesday afternoon at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational. Finishing in a tie for 10th place, it marks Lamb’s first career top-10 finish
The Irish finished in seventh-place as a team out of 18 schools competing, shooting an 873 (+25). Iowa State won the event at 853 (+5), a single stroke ahead of Northwestern’s 854 (+6).

About the Course
Chambers Bay Golf Course played host to the 2015 U.S. Open, a dramatic finish which saw Jordan Spieth become the youngest U.S. Open winner since Bobby Jones, claiming the title by a single stroke over Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen. The links-style course played as a 7,223-yard par-71 on Monday and a 7,057 par-70 on Tuesday.

Leigh Torbin, athletics communications associate director at the University of Notre Dame, has been part of the Fighting Irish athletics communications team since 2013 and coordinates all media efforts for Notre Dame’s women’s basketball and men’s golf teams. A native of Framingham, Massachusetts, Torbin graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.
