Irish Add Three Newcomers To Roster For 2011 Season

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Softball head coach Deanna Gumpf recently announced the addition of three student-athletes who will continue their academic and athletic careers at Notre Dame beginning in the fall of 2010. Florida natives Monica Torres and Chloe Saganowich will join California’s Lauren Stuhr on the Irish roster for the 2011 season. Laura Winter, another California product, became the first official member of the class last fall.

“This is a great all-around class, and we can’t wait to get them into an Irish uniform and on to the field,” Gumpf said. “Their accomplishments are indicative of the hard work they’ve put in throughout their high school careers, and I believe that each of them will parlay that success into a fruitful four years at Notre Dame.
