Women Second, Men Tenth as Irish Battle at Nuttycombe

MADISON, Wis. – The Notre Dame women’s and men’s cross country teams both finished in the top 10 of the highly-competitive Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour at the Zimmer Championship Course on Friday in Wisconsin.

The No. 7 ranked women took second place with a team score of 125 while the No. 9 ranked men placed tenth with a team score of 274.

Women’s 6k Championship Race
The No. 7 ranked Notre Dame women captured second place in a field with 18 ranked programs behind five scoring finishes all in the top 50 of the field.

Mary Bonner Dalton and Amaya Aramini continued their strong fall 2025 season while pacing the Irish with a pair of top ten finishes. Dalton led the way for Notre Dame with a fourth place finish in a personal record time of 19:40.3. Aramini also registered a PR on the day with a 19:50.0 for eighth place.

Arianne Olson finished 26th overall with a time of 20:22.8. In her first official race for the Irish, Chloe Huyler took 42nd with a time of 20:32.5. Gretchen Farley wrapped up the team finish by posting a time of 20:33.3 for 45th place.

Men’s 8k Championship Race
The No. 9 ranked Irish men’s team battled their way to a tenth place team finish in a field which also featured 18 ranked programs.

Ethan Coleman led the way for the Irish with a 23:34.1 and moved up ten spots over the final 2k of the race to place 11th overall. Izaiah Steury posted a 23:57.0 to finish 49th on the day.

Dylan Throop turned in a time of 23:58.9 for 55th. Cameron Todd was 71st with a 24:08.8, and Kevin Sanchez rounded out the scoring performances for the Irish with a 24:22.2 to place 89th (88 points) at the event.

Several members of the men’s and women’s teams also competed in the B races to open the day. Isabel Allori led the women’s efforts with a sixth-place finish in 21:24.9 while Ryan Pajak finished 16th in a time of 24:43.8 on the men’s side.

The Irish are back in action on Friday, October 31 for the ACC Championships. The races take place at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. The women’s 6k begins at 9:30 a.m. ET while the men’s 8k race starts at 10:30 a.m. ET.
