INDEPENDENCE, Minn. – The University of Notre Dame men’s golf team finished ninth in the 2022 Gopher Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 11 and Monday, Sept. 12 at Windsong Farm Golf Course. The Irish finished on Monday shooting three under par for a collective 849 on the weekend.
Notre Dame shot a 289 (+5) in the first round on Sunday and finished the second round with their best collective score of the invitational as they shot 11 under (273) in round two. The Irish finished the Gopher Invitational shooting a 287 (+3) in the final round. Notre Dame was led by senior Palmer Jackson, who finished three under with a score of 210 after shooting a team best 68 (-3) in both round one and two.

The Irish also had three players competing in the Minnesota Golf Classic at Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept 11. Junior Angelo Marcon claimed a third place finish after shooting seven under with a 209 finish after three rounds.
