PHOENIX, AZ – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish wrapped up their regular spring season at the 2023 Thunderbird Collegiate where they competed at the Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Irish finished T9 after shooting a collective score of 858 (+6) across three rounds on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.
Palmer Jackson led the Irish as he finished the tournament shooting a 211 (-2), followed by Nate Stevens who shot a 213 (E). Palmer finished T20 while Stevens placed T35. Stevens had a team best score of 141 (-1) after the first two rounds on the first day of the tournament as Jackson was right behind him shooting a 142 (E).
Jackson’s best round was in the final round on day two of the tournament as he shot a 69 (-2) and recorded five birdies on the day. He tallied 12 birdies on the weekend and one eagle in the first round.
The Irish will compete next in the ACC Championship starting on Friday, April 21 at Dogwood Course at Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C.
