IN THE BATTERS BOX — Notre Dame and Michigan open a two-game, home-and-home series on Tuesday night in Ann Arbor. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m., while Wednesday’s contest in Notre Dame will begin at 6:05 p.m. Both games can be heard on WHME 103.1 FM as well as UND.com. The series between the two rivals will be the first games played on either school’s home field since 1999 when the Irish hosted the Wolverines in the NCAA Regional. Notre Dame has not played in Ann Arbor since 1977. In fact, Michigan and Notre Dame have played on a neutral site in 15 of its last 17 meetings.
