LOUISVILLE – The Notre Dame men’s tennis team remained undefeated and picked up an ACC win in the process on Saturday, earning a 4-0 sweep over Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Fighting Irish continue to be on the front foot in dual matches, starting the season 4-4 in claiming the doubles point. Then the Blue & Gold earned singles victories from Sebastian Dominko, Luis Llorens Saracho and Kyran Magimay.
The 15th-ranked doubles tandem in the country, Llorens Saracho & Peter Nad earned a big-ranked victory on Saturday, cruising to a 6-2 decision over No. 21 Onofrei/Steinbach. They improved to 10-7 overall on the year, marking their third win over a ranked duo.
Noah Becker and Dominko then finished it up on court three with a 6-3 win over Cressoni/Lokko. Notre Dame’s Gregg/Patrick went unfinished on court two, in a fierce 4-4 battle with No. 59 Ahouda/El Amine.
On court one in singles, No. 24 Dominko rolled to a 6-3, 6-4 straight set win over No. 68 Walid Ahouda. The senior is now 12-3 on the year and 7-1 against ranked opposition.
Llorens Saracho and Magimay, on courts five and six respectively, finished off the 4-0 sweep in straight sets as well. Magimay has recorded a point in every dual match thus far, improving to 4-0 this spring and 14-4 overall.
