NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s golf team will seek to claim its third consecutive tournament championship come Monday, in what could be history in the making. The Fighting Irish hit the road once more, this time to Toledo, Ohio, to compete in the 2019 Inverness Intercollegiate.
After back-to-back wins to kick-off the 2019-20 campaign, the Irish could become the first in program history to capture three in a row. In fact, there’s only one other team in school history who even claimed three tournament titles in the same season, which was the 1999-00 Irish squad.
THE LOW DOWN
The Inverness Intercollegiate takes place Sept. 23-24, with 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. The Inverness Country Club plays as a par-71, spanning 7,172 yards. The Irish will be seeking their first win at Inverness.
