NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It’s won and oh for the Notre Dame men’s tennis team. The Fighting Irish opened up their 2026 spring dual match campaign with a gritty 4-3 road victory at Yale. The Blue & Gold captured the doubles point, then received singles victories from Sebastian Dominko, Peter Nad and Kyran Magimay.
Dominko, who enters the spring season ranked No. 24 in singles, picked up his first ranked win after dispatching No. 38 Gogineni, 7-5, 6-2. Dominko is now 6-1 against ranked opposition over the course of 2025-26.
Nad, who went 7-4 over the fall, earned a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Ji on court three. Then it was Magimay, who tied Gregg for the most fall wins with 10, who gutted out a three-set victory on court six. Magimay knocked off Gupta, 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, in the comeback.
Up next, the Irish will come home to South Bend for a doubleheader on Jan. 19, facing off against Duquesne at 10 am, followed by Western Michigan at 6 p.m.
