CHARLOTTE – The Notre Dame tennis programs swept the ACC Doubles awards on Tuesday, as Peter Nad and Luis Llorens Saracho won on the men’s side, while Bianca Molnar and Bojana Pozder won for the women. It marked Nad’s/Llorens Saracho’s second ACC Doubles Team of the Week honor and Molnar’s/Pozder’s first this spring.
Nad & Llorens Saracho are currently ranked 53rd in the country in doubles with an 8-3 record in duals. The Irish tandem went 3-0 this past weekend, which included a signature win over No. 6 Alex Razeghi/Alex Chang of Stanford. In fact, they won dominantly, 6-2.
Other signature-ranked wins this spring include No. 21 Onofrei/Steinbach of Louisville and No. 14 Miguel/Schiessl of Florida State.
Over on the women’s side, Molnar and Pozder are currently ranked 45th in the nation. They are 4-3 in dual matches and 15-7 overall on the year. This past Sunday, the Irish duo knocked off the No. 10-ranked team of McGinley/Van Impe from SMU, 6-3. It marked their first ranked win this spring and sixth overall this year.
