SOUTH BEND, IN – The first-day matchups and format have been finalized for the 16th annual Legends Classic, taking place Nov. 16-17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In the Semifinal Round on Thursday, Nov. 16, Notre Dame men’s hoops will challenge Auburn. The other matchup will feature Oklahoma State versus St. Bonaventure. There has been no decision yet on which matchup will be the first game, though it has been announced the opening tip will commence at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by the second at 9 p.m.
The Championship Doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 17, will start with the third-place game at 4:30 p.m., followed by the title game at 7 p.m. Television coverage for the 16th annual Legends Classic will be announced at a later date.
Legends Classic will be the first time in which Notre Dame and Auburn will clash on the hardwood. Plus, the same could be said if the Irish catch Oklahoma State on Friday. Notre Dame and St. Bonaventure have clashed a total of eight times in program history, with the Irish holding a 5-3 edge despite the loss in last year’s Gotham Classic.
