PRINCETON, N.J. – Notre Dame men’s tennis continued its fall campaign by sending four representatives to the Farnsworth Invitational, hosted by Princeton University. Reppin’ the Irish this week were Kyran Magimay, Giuseppe Cerasuolo, Nolan Balthazor and Evan Lee.
Of the Irish foursome, Magimay had the best showing. The junior from Hersham, England, went 3-0 in singles play. He defeated Aryan Saleh of Old Dominion, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, then followed that up with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Meecah Bigun of Princeton. Lastly, Magimay bested Noah Schlagenhauf of Ole Miss, 6-4, 6-1.
Another Irish singles victory this weekend came via Nolan Balthazor. The freshman defeated Felix Obermair of ODU, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.
As a result, Magimay improves to 10-4 in singles competition this fall, while Balthazor moves to 9-4.
In doubles, Magimay also picked up a victory, partnering with Evan Lee to knock off Schlagenhauf/Lestir of Ole Miss, 8-4.
