Day Two Results | Round Three Live Scoring

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame’s men’s golf team finds itself within striking distance of both team and individual titles entering Tuesday’s final round of the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic at the Warren Golf Course.
The Irish stand tied with Illinois State for second place in the team standings with a 568 (+8) after 36 holes, trailing only UTEP which is pacing the 15-team field at 560 (Even). The three teams will be grouped in the final pairings on Tuesday with tee times for the trio starting at 10 a.m.
The course is playing as a 6,713-yard par-70 for the three-round event.
Player of the Day
Blake Barens continues to lead the field as an individual, shooting a three-under-par 67 on Monday to join his first-round 66 for a two-round sum of 133 (-7). Barens holds a two-stroke cushion over Frederik Dreier of UTEP (135, -5) heading into the final 18 holes on Sunday. Dreier fired a blistering 65 (-5) on Monday to close the gap and distance both himself and Barens from third-place Christian Crabill who holds a two-under par 138 through 36 holes.

Leigh Torbin, athletics communications associate director at the University of Notre Dame, has been part of the Fighting Irish athletics communications team since 2013 and coordinates all media efforts for Notre Dame’s women’s basketball and men’s golf teams. A native of Framingham, Massachusetts, Torbin graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He has previously worked full-time on the athletic communications staffs at Vanderbilt, Florida, Connecticut and UCF.
