LA QUINTA, Calif. – In the third and final round of The Prestige, the Notre Dame men’s golf team moved up two spots in the standings to finish in 12th place. The highlight of the tournament came in the form of freshman Taichi Kho. The Hong Kong native shot a 70 (-1) on Wednesday to finish with a 219 (+6), coming in 24th place.
“Not the finish we were looking for but a lot of positives to take away from this week that will help us continue to improve this spring. It’s our first event and great to build from,” Notre Dame head coach John Handrigan said. “It was a great last two days for Taichi and impressive for a freshman in that field and difficulty of course.”

Kho, who shot even-par in round two and moved up 22 spots in the standings, improved by one stroke in round three, advancing another 20 spots to earn his second top-25 finish on the year.
