NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame men’s golf team will not take part in this weekend’s Tar Heel Invitational because the tournament has been canceled due to Hurricane Joaquin.
The University of North Carolina was scheduled to host the tournament on Saturday and Sunday (October 3-4), with 13 schools slated to take part in the event.
Hurricane Joaquin is expected to move up the Atlantic Ocean coastline this weekend and will bring heavy rains to Chapel Hill throughout the weekend.
Next up on the Notre Dame schedule is the Crooked Stick Invitational, which will be played on Oct. 12-13 at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
