Competitors in this event will include players from the ACC, SEC and Big Ten.
During that same weekend as the Bobby Bayliss Invitational, sophomore Sebastian Dominko will head to Tulsa to participate in the ITA All-American Championships. With his preseason ranking of No. 5 in the country, he will be directly into the main draw of play and compete against the very best in the country.
Over the University fall break, the Irish will remain on campus to train for a few days before heading north to Ann Arbor where the University of Michigan will host the ITA Regionals for the midwest section. Qualifying play will begin on Thursday, October 19th and play continuing through main draw action until Sunday afternoon when winners of the event will emerge.
November 3rd-5th will see the Irish host their second event on their home courts as they have the Fighting Irish Mini Duals. The format will see players play in pairs through a series of four matches. Each pair will play a doubles match against their opponents worth one point. Then they will split up and each play a singles match against the same two players for another two points. The team that wins two out of the three matches between singles and doubles will advance to the next round as a team. This format resembles the spring dual season where a team match consists of 3 doubles and 6 singles matches. The winning pair of this event will secure wildcards into the M15 Notre Dame Open in the summer of 2024.
