FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association and FOX Sports Net Detroit have finalized a 22-game schedule for the 1999-2000 season. All 12 CCHA teams will appear on FOX Sports Net Detroit, with the final regular-season game of the package featuring Notre Dame’s matchup at defending CCHA regular-season champion Michigan State on March 4.

As part of the agreement, three games have been moved to earlier dates:

Michigan at Michigan State, originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 8, has been moved to Friday, Jan. 7 at 7:05 p.m.

Nebraska Omaha at Michigan State on Saturday, Jan. 15, has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 13, at 7:05 p.m., turning the matchup into a Thursday-Friday series.

Lake Superior at Western Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 26, has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:05 p.m., turning the matchup into a Thursday-Friday series.

Due to a separate event conflict, the Notre Dame at Michigan State game on Friday, Dec. 3 has been moved to Sunday, Dec. 5 at 7:05 p.m.

FOX Sports Net Detroit, which reaches 2.4 million homes in Michigan and Northwest Ohio, will carry complete coverage of the Great Lakes Invitational and four CCHA Tournament games, including the CCHA Championship semifinals and final from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The CCHA package also will be made available to FOX Sports Net affiliates across the nation and internationally. During the 1998-99 season, CCHA games were broadcast over five other FOX Sports Net affiliates – New England, Ohio, South, the Sunshine Network, and West 2 – with a combined subscription base of 24 million households.

The CCHA on FOX Sports Net Detroit schedule kicks off on Friday, Oct. 22 as Ohio State visits Michigan State for one of the league’s most heated rivalries.

FSND will carry two games in October and one in November before broadcasting complete coverage of the 35th Great Lakes Invitational.

With the start of the new year, the CCHA appears on FOX Sports Net Detroit every week but one, beginning with Michigan at Michigan State on Friday, Jan. 7. On three occasions, two games will be broadcast in one week: Thursday, Jan. 13, and Friday, Jan. 15, Friday, Feb. 11, and Saturday, Feb. 12, and Thursday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb., 26.
